In conversations about transforming food systems, one phrase appears repeatedly: “We must include youth.” In Nigeria, this has become almost standard language across policy dialogues, donor-funded programs, and stakeholder platforms.

To commemorate World Wetlands Day 2026, leading youth networks convened a high-level
virtual webinar titled “Wetlands and Traditional Knowledge:

The Official Children and Youth Constituency of the UNFCCC (YOUNGO), through its Food and Agriculture Working Group, has compiled 25 youth-led and youth- focused agricultural projects and initiatives from six regions and over twenty countries worldwide.

Youth-led action continues to shape global conversations on food systems and climate change. I’m pleased to share that Learn to Impact has been featured in the 2025 YOUNGO Food & Agriculture Youth Project compilation, a curated collection of 25 impactful youth-led initiatives from over 20 countries worldwide.

Beneath the concrete, beneath the parks, and beneath our very feet lies the silent, vital foundation of our urban future: soil.
